We went to see this remarkable castle and took the tour. The tour ticket gives you a specific time that you have to be at the entry to go in to the castle in groups. This is good to ensure you get a great tour...More

We really enjoyed exploring the grounds of Neuschwanstein and Mary's Bridge is amazing. The guided tour is large (60 people) so it's hard to keep up with the guide at times. Highly recommend taking the bus up and walking the trail down to the parking...More

Due to our late arrival in Hohenschwangau, we only left with about an hour to two hours to tour Neuschwanstein Castle. A pity that we did not get to visit the castle and see its grand interiors back in Aug 2016.. But we still managed...More

We travelled from just outside Innsbruck to visit Neuschwanstein Castle (appx 2hrs) and it was worth the trip. Inside and out, the castle was stunning with equally impressive, panoramic views. Probably one of the most popular tourist attractions in the area, it does get very...More

We really enjoyed visiting this castle. Be prepared for many steps and uphill walks. The location and castle are beautiful, well worth the visit.

I'm so happy that I visited this beautiful place with my son. It's a dream. The views get better with every turn and the whole visit is so well organized it's painless. All staff were lovely and friendly.

Hundreds of tourist descent on this attraction and there seems to be no organisation whatsoever. Directions to climb to the summit are poor, ticket availability is poor and when we found a place to buy tickets we had to join a guided tour some 4...More

The 'Disney Castle' is a bucket list event. Once you do it I promise you'll never go back. The climb up to the castle and then the stairs in the turret are a workout for the fittest of the fit. No way around the castle...More

We took the Radius Tour from Munich train station, which we recommend. Guide Dani was charming and a font of helpful information all about Munich (activities, restaurants, area tourism in general). The so-called "small group" is thirty people, so not intensely personalized. That said, this...More

yes, you can. You can even visit the bridge without buying a ticket. You will mostly probably have to buy a bus ticket to get to the main castle or take a 40 minutes walk uphill. it costs not more than 3 euros round trip.

Have read alot of reviews. Looking to do both castle tours...1. Trying to find out how far apart I should pre-book the tickets between each tour 2. I have read alot of reviews about the uphill walk to Neuschwanstein...how do I get from Hohenschwangau to Neuschwanstein..do I walk back to the ticket center/bus area and then walk up to Neuschwanstein? If I walked everything how long would it take me to leave Hohenschwangau and make it in time for my Neuschwanstein tour? Also I was told the pictures/views are better in the afternoon when the sun drops . Early morning castle can look hazy...I am a morning person but rather get gorgeous pictures shots..I am thinking of booking my first tour around 1pm...any thoughts ( I have am two months out from going on the trip) Last thing...I have seen a similar angle of a picture from quite a few photos of a distant Hohenschwangau nestled in with mountains and lakes..where was this taken? It looks at if the photographer is looking down some on this view... I am thinking it must be a common enough spot as I have seen a few pictures of the same view Thank you

Reserving Tickets: Hello, we reserved English tickets about a week-and-a-half ago via the website, it said it would send us confirmation once the reservation was approved but it has not done so yet. Does anyone have an estimated time as to how long it takes to get that confirmation? The website says we will receive written confirmation - is this a physical letter or via email? Thanks!

It should not take more than 48 hours to get the confirmation. Try checking your email's spam folder in case it went there. If you still can't find it, I would try contacting them to make sure they got your reservation.
