Former court theatre (550 seats), dedicated on September 17, 1840. triple-wing building with year-round programme, such as opera, operetta, musicals, plays, concerts, ballet, late night shows, children’s and youth theatre.
The theatre is amazingly beautiful and a must if you come to Coburg. The "Schatzinsel" is another story...Mmmm...it is definitely a lightyear away from shows in London. If you feel like a little entertainment and merely a relaxing evening then see it.
The Landestheater is one of the place in Coburg, where you can still feel the long history of the city. It is a great place for events and has a very traditional stage with a lot of gold and textile. The sound quality is good...More
