The ski Resport was well priced and had many options. I would recommend going up to the first level and getting your bearings straight on the little begineer course. After that, take the left up a level and the snow is great! Head off to the right side to go off the path and navigate throught the trees. Awesome experience!... More

Its like Disneyland on Ice .... so many people !!!! mountain not great for boarders .... its a steep skiers heaven .... you can wait quite a lot to rent your equipment and finding a locker was madness... treat your self to a warm beverage and hotdog at the bars at bottom of mountain

We returned to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in February, and hired all our ski equipment from Bettina at Refugio Otto, they were all so helpful and gave us really good advice on where to ski depending on the different weather conditions, I would also recommend the rafting trips they offer during the summer, as we had a great day rafting with them the... I was in Stuttgart area going to Neuswanstein castle and on the way we decided to stop and spent many hours there. I had a blast!!! we went up to a certain area and had lunch up in the alps. Played in the snow and watched people learning how to ski. Of course, i wasn't prepared to snow since it... More

We stayed here for a week, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We don't ski, but we did enjoy the many great walks. Wonderful.

We visited Garmische during our winter stay in February 2014 while visiting Munich. We read a lot of good reviews of Garmische, and wanted to take a look at the German mountainside and experience being at the highest peak in Germany- Zugspitze. Since we were in Munich, we took a train from the Munchen Hbf train station and purchased the... More

The area is limited - even with Zugspitzen included. 3 days of skiing, then you are bored and find it hard to find variation. The transport trails between the areas are many and this gives the count of skiing slopes a somewhat misleading number. Especially since several of the transport trails are designed for two ways traffic (!) meaning that... More

It was our third stay at Garmisch, but the first time at the new year day week. The ski slopes where overcrowded in particular the Kreuzwankl sli lift. this happens because all blue slopes end at this lift and there is no way to go back to the Kreuzeck area without taking this lift. Some times we had to wait... More

Being only 1 hour from Innsbruk this is a good ski re sport for a short break. There are two ski areas one on the glacier and the other called Classik. The ski areas are connected by buses and trains about 20-30 mins apart by train. The Classik is a fairly standard mix of blue and red runs with a... More
