What a treat! Our kids (aged 11 & 12) absolutely loved visiting Haus der Berge, a wonderful modern museum showcasing the natural wonders of the region. It's actually quite small, but is packed with stunning exhibits that kept us entertained for hours. Lovely experience.

Absolutely awe inspiring views of surrounding area. Still snow when we were there but not particularly cold (and I'm from Florida).Enjoyed it immensely, then proceeded to the Eagle's Nest.

We spent 9 days in Berchtesgaden and found a different hike every day. There are so many different trails it is utterly amazing. They had an unusual April snow while we were here and that just added to the beauty. Be forewarned, most Alms do...More

The Hanging Bridge trail is about 2 hours roundtrip from the parking lot to the Bridge. One could easily do this with a Jog stroller, Kids on bikes, or walking kid-paced.

The displays were so well done & realistically showed & explained the mountain region of the Bavarian Mts. There were trees with beautiful snow scenes, very realistic replicas of cows, an eagle's nest, and all kinds of wildlife common to this region. A very special...More

We'd visited Berchtesgaden on several occasions in summer and never quiet made time for Haus der Berge. However, when we visted for two snowy weeks in January, it seemed like the perfect way to spend a very snowy Sunday afternoon. We didn't expect much -...More

With brilliant interactive exhibits packed into a relatively small space, this is a super way to spend a couple of hours with the family. And at 10 euros for a family of 4 it certainly won't break the bank. A great modern museum experience!

Sorry, we were just on a day trip to Berchtesgaden. The tourist bureau would be of greater help I'm sure. Have fun!
