Excelent (and more than crowded) place, the boat tour is really nice, but continue past the church of St Bartholoma towards Salet, at the end on the lake, and from there in 1 hour walk to the waterfall past the Ubersee, unmissable views

My trip was meant to be only in Salzburg; however, while searching for some locations where I can spend a dat outside of Salzburg, I found this magestical place. The pictures were amazing, but seeing the scenery live is even more crazy, I couldn't understand...More

Prepare to wait in the queue for a while to get to the boats. It's is totally worth the money and time. I recommend to stop at the both stops: Salet, where you can take a short walk to Obersee (which was my favourite place...More

Boat cruises start from more villages around the lake. (Captains play the trumpet at the Echo wall - nice performance - you may give a tip). Guestcards are accepted in the parking plot (cheaper parking). Walking routes start e.g. from St. Bartholomew where fresh smoked...More

We took the boat ride on Lake Konigsee to view the spectacular scenery of this alpine lake and the surrounding mountains. Highly recommend paying the extra fee to visit the pristine mirror lake at Salet, an additional 10 minute boat ride past St. Bartholomew Church,...More

We were fortunate to have very good weather for mid May with temperatures of 21c+ But the place just sells itself with its natural beauty . Deep dark lake mountains rearing out of the water. We took the electric boat around the lake for the...More

We did this excursion exclusively for Lake Obersee, the lake that is about a 10-minute walk from Lake Konigssee. We caught the third boat of the day, and it was packed; so I can only imagine how uncomfortable the ride would get later in the...More

The forecast for the day that we went called for clouds and rain so I was a bit nervous but it was still absolutely stunning despite the weather. Obersee was my favorite part so be sure to take the boat all the way to Salet...More

Hello! Where can I buy an advance ticket for the boat ride? If I buy a ticket for the boat ride in advance will I still have to queue? I am visiting in July on a Monday will it be as crowded then? I only have once chance to see this and I really don't want to miss it. Will be doing a day trip from Salzburg. Please advise.

I did not know the answer, so I looked at the website. It said that reservations are only accepted for groups of 20 and more people. An advantage you have by traveling in July is that Bavarian schools are still in session... More

We are planning to visit Konigsee lake on September. Is the weather in September good for boating? We would like to rent a row boat and explore the lake ourselves. Can you give the google location of the row boat rental place?

Sorry. We didn't see any row boats at Konigssee. The only boats for hire we saw were the electric tour boats that cover the length of the lake and make two stops.
Thanks for your review. Was your ferry ride long and what is the cost? My family and I will only have a day at the lake. Thank you.

If you only tour around the lake without getting off the boat it should take about 2 hours. It takes 35 minutes to get to St. Bartholomew's church which is a nice stop. You will have about 30 minutes before the boat comes by... More
