One of the most unique experiences amongst all my travel! 130 m below - navigated through two slides, a train through a closed 650 m tunnel, a boat ride in the mirror lake with sparkles, a conventional elevator - it was a unique world in...More

Hi Shawn, It's a close call between the 2 mines and would likely depend on your location/itinerary. IMHO based purely on a mine visit, Berchtesgaden would get the vote. The wife said it was quicker with less walking. I thought it equally informative with a similar train ride into the mountain, slides down the levels and a lake, plus it is a working mine.
PS Sorry for the delay - just back (2 hours ago) from Salou Spain.

The guided tour underground takes about 1 hour. Please plan about 1,5 to 2 hours including buying your ticket, getting changed, welcome and returning the miners' clothes. Book the tickets online first to avoid the line is a good way to save time and all you have to do is to arrive a bit earlier and enjoy.
