It was a nice tour and the way to get into the mine was fun. An interesting place to visit but does not hold a candle to the salt mines in Krakow, Poland.

It was fun, but it is all about getting as many people through. The presentation is rather simple, there is so much more potential, but obviously no need for that. We were disappointed.

The tour was a combination of walking, riding a train and sliding with lots of visual displays, and the presentation as we were boating across the water was so pretty. My only complaint is that at some of the information stations the English translation was...More

It was overcast, so what better to do than to go underground. We loved the walking tour and all the explanations. Especially the hundred years old fully functional salt pump was very impressive

Was a good Family afternoons discovering Mining history. Visit is a good mix between fun and culture. You have to take care of the waiting time between ticket purchase and visit time: better to book in advance through internet.

The slides were fun, as were the ride on the little train taking you into the mine and the boat ride across the pond. The light show at the pond was not my particular preference, but it was a small part of the tour. A...More

In my oponion, if you are already visiting a salt mine, I would not visit another one since you only have a day trip to Salzburg. We spent two days in Munich and stopped at this salt mine on the way to Salzburg where we... More
