Beautiful clear lake. Take a boat trip to Fraueninsel and Herreninsel and enjoy the beautiful views. Have lunch, walk around the island and visit the convent on Frauen insel. Visit king Ludwig II Schloss Herrenchiemsee at Herreninsel. Easy walks so very suitable for kids.

The ferry to Schloss Herrenchiemsee is a nice short ride to the island...beautiful snow capped peaks in the background. The docks at Prien have a nice coffee shop and the piers and boats keep a handy schedule.
