A large Art Deco markethall, round the back of Marktplatz. Dazzling white concrete beams with quirky detrails in green ceramic and coloured glass. The labels describe it a Jungenstihl - which covers Art Deco & Nouveau; but this place is more what we call Deco. The stalls - an outstanding selection of meat, chees, breads, confectionary. I defy you to leave without buying something! Several cafes. High end outlets upstairs

First time here and it was cool to see the wide diversity of products offered on the main floor. Very unique and high quality products. However, it's super packed, very narrow aisles and pricey. Nice to visit as a tourist attraction but I wouldn't shop here regularly. Second floor is way overpriced and generally uninteresting.

The Market Hall in Stuttgart was inaugurated in 1914. It is an Art Nouveau building.
It suffered severe destruction during WW II and after the war it was rebuilt. It is a listed building since 1974.
Today it is a consumer market, .
There are two floors: the ground floor is full of stalls selling every kind of food, including local specialties and ethnic food: for me, this was the most interesting part. On the upper floor there are a restaurant and a large shop selling houseware.

Wow, this is an amazing indoor market. I believe a market has nbeen held her for over 100 years. Go up the steps inside to the balcony and look down!

Market halls are one of my must-visits when I travel, so I had to check out Stuttgart's. Well, lots of tasty looking treats, but waaay beyond this reviewer's budget. If I wanted to grab a little of this and that for a lunch in the nearby plaza, I 'd likely walk out 15 euro poorer. I can't see your average 'Berger' choosing to spend money here. If however money is no object for you, you might enjoy.

It was an enjoyable experience to stroll the shops and all the beautiful things for sale and the delicious food offerings. The prices in most of the shops are high but you pay for the experience. Well worth the time.

I always enjoy market halls because they cater to locals as well as tourists. There was a good variety of food inside, lots of meat, cheese, etc. to buy and cook at home, as well as some eateries for tourists and others who are not going to cook. Please be advised this is closed on Sundays! There are foods from other countries (Spanishh food, for example) so there should be something for everyone! Take your time, stroll around and enjoy.

This market hall, all indoors, had the best selection of local and international foods! We had lunch at one of the Italian shops/cafes. There were many ethnic shops and restaurants: French, Italian, German, Greek, Spanish, Mediterranean, Arabic. A really cool place. We also bought some items to take home. I will definitely go back here and bring friends along.

This market has great wares. And also a great place to spend the afternoon to relax, have a drink and eat with the friends. I purchased some spices for German recipes. Located in a nice shopping area.
