It took me long to visit Experimenta for the first time, but I figured the kids have to be of a certain age first, before it makes sense. In hindsight, three years is probably enough. There are so many attractions that different age groups or interests find different things to do. And then there are the special exhibits. Staff is... More

The Experimenta is a great place, packed with popular science demo stations and quite a few tasks. Unfortunately, quite a few of the descriptions were in German only. I managed to figure out most of them, which provided additional layer of puzzling activity, but one might need help with a non-German speaking teen or child

We visited here with my German exchange family, we are English, but the signs for the experiments were in English, or some of them, you can just work out what you need to do. There are 4 floors of interactive experiments, everything is hands on, making it so enjoyable for everyone (old and young!) My children are 10 and 12... More

It was a great place for all the family 3 and 9 years old. It is unbelievable the number of things you can learn as well. We wanted to stay for three hours... And 6 hours later we were just chocked hearing that it will be closing in 15 minutes!!!!! I will for sure try to go back, even more... More

We had a great time at Experimenta. We brought out two children, 5 and 8, and we all had a great time. There are different themes to every floor with some really cool interactive displays. The highlights for us were the green screen couch, the aging camera, robot-controlled dominoes and the music table where you put on headphones and sing... More

If you ever have asked yourself how things of your daily life are working be it generation and supply of electricity to your home, communication by phone or Internet, how light is generated etc. If you want to test your skills of understanding and mastering your environment - take at least 5 hours and visit the Experimenta. Went there with my 12-year old daughter and my wife. All info are both in English and German, which makes easy to understand the games, chores and fun things to do. Science explained in a very simple and intuitive way, full of games for all ages. Am excellent place to spend an evening with kids. Don't miss the upper floor,... More

Very interesting place to visit along with kids. Also this is very nice place to spend time. But only few of experiments/items were explained only in German, so difficult for non German speaker guy to get the meaning exactly! I would suggest to spend at least 3-4 hours inside Experimenta.

Well worth a trip here. We spent all day in the centre. 4 floors and many things for the kids to do, including building things. Local place but does accommodate English, but on most experiments the audio doesn't off English and it would be helpful to have this as an option. However you can get by with limited German and...
