If you are a fan of nature and you are in Heidelberg, it's worth visiting! It's unbelievable, how fast you can go so close to the nature in the middle of the city!

The way to the philosophenweg from twon is actually cooler than the philosophenweg itself. The road does show nice views and is a relax place to hike and run. Lots of tourists again, just like the whole of Heidelberg.

The oldest university in Germany, the University of Heidelberg is located here and is a leading center for scientific and medical research. Because of the number of students, Heidelberg is one of the “youngest” cities in Germany. The students energy can be felt along the lovely wide pedestrian street. Perfect for a stroll day or night.

Some of modern physics ideas might have been inspired on this beautiful walk. Think of what you can discover when you walk it. Oh and the view of the city is great

a good walk with excellent views of the castle but not for the fainthearted. The walk is traditionally to help you to pause and get philosophical and thoughtful, and this it achieves as went you get to to think why the hell did I do that as you get your breath back but the rewards are the views and smug... All kinds of shops. All kinds of places to eat. There is something for everyone. The views are great and the area feels great. I would walk through instead again. There is always something to find.

We did this walk in the morning and it was well worth it. The views are specracular! The walk down is a bit steep so wear the right shoes!

We stayed on the old town side of the river Neckar, crossed the Old Bridge and took the Schlangenweg (snake way) which is a steep, paved with cobblestones and rather challenging way to reach the Philosopher's Way. A couple of stops allowed us to look down on the town. Turning to the right leads you into the woods after a... More

This is a nice relaxing walk that provides beautiful views of Heidelberg! I recommend continuing your walk up to the ruins (follow the blue castle signs).

Firstly the profile pic for this attraction is totally misleading. Philosophers' Path is a scenic forest path to a Hitler open air amphitheater on top of the hill across from old town Heidelberg. It's a nice adventure to start off your day and get you energized to see more! You'll get a great overview of the city and a broader... More
