Going to the castle is a great experience. Take your time and if you can learn a bit about it before hand, you will enjoy more. A guided visit will help. I went twice. The first day I climbed the 300 steps up and down....More

Please do yourself a favor and ride the funicular and do one of the hourly tours. We did an English tour and learned so much.

The castle is simply beautiful. The architecture is stunning. We only had half an hour to chase round. You could easy spend half a day up there. There were long queues to the funicular to the top which took 30mins. Best to avoid busy times....More

You can go up and park. There is a parking place, but its really small. Or you can also park on the road side, before entering the Castle.
