The church has been built with two naves at right-angles; originally the women sat in one nave and the men in the other. This ensured that everyone focused on the priest in the middle of the naves, rather than the men looking at the women...More

Positioned in the corner of the marktplatz in Freudenstadt. We'll maintained and a great piece of history. The bells chime regularly too.

Very interesting town Protestant church originally built in 1601 when this center of the town was designed. Destroyed mostly in 1945 but restored. Has 11th century baptismal font. Unusual design both inside and out.

It is a lovely church within the marketplace of the city. They have pictures with the history of the church. It was very interesting to learn more about it

Cozy church not looking like other grandeur church seen in major cities . We were in rehearssl of orchestra fantastic sound.

We all know instinctively that churches are designed and built either on a rectangular or a cross-shaped pattern. Except that this one isn't - it was built with 2 almost identical naves at right angles to each other, with the altar at the intersection point....More
