Merkur Mountain is a highlight of Baden Baden. The funicular ride was great. The view of the area was breathtaking. Good place to chill out and just observe nature.

Do not miss a visit to the Merkur mountain. Go to the Top with the Merkur bergbahn and enjoy spectacular views over Baden-Baden and the surrounding countryside. Visit the tower and get an even better 360 degree view. A brilliant place indeed!

Enjoy the funicular view to the mountain top restaurant. Sit with a picnic in the shade. Worth a morning for views across the Schwarzwald and beyond to the Rhine valley and the Vosges.

Short ride on the bus # 205 from Baden Baden Was not crowded as we went early. No wait for the funicular train. Steep ride. Very good. Only 16 Euro for family of 6. Great view from the top.

We enjoyed our trip to the top of Mt. Merkur. We had lunch on the pleasant terrace, walked around a bit seeing the hand-gliders, beautiful huge rhododendron bushes, and sat enjoying the views. Pretty enjoyable and inexpensive outing.

The mountain is over 650 meters high and offers amazing views over the black forest and surrounding countryside from the summit. You can reach the top by walking or take the funicular (Merkurbergbahn) which is easier. You can also take the funicular on the way...More

Lots of parking, I was there really off-season so probably busy from May - September.
