A 'must' in Baden-Baden

The building itself created by famous museum architect Richard Maier is worth a visit. Various changing exhibitions can be seen.

We saw two wonderful exhibits in a beautiful environment. It is a Richard Meyer's designed museum ( he also designed the Getty in LA amongst others).

One of my favorite museums in the world (another is the Louisiana in Kopenhagen). Not so big, bright, the architecture is serving the exhibitions (and not vice versa like the Gehry museums- which I also like very much, but the architecture rivals the exhibited art). Nice Cafe in the Kunsthalle Baden Baden right next to it.

This little museum in the center of Baden-Baden is very interesting. It is placed in the middle of of the Baden-Baden Allee. An area that invites you for a little walk. The museum itself is attached to the old museum and is very well designed. The building itself is worth a visit. The exhibitions are mixed but always very inspiring... More

The only downer was that the catalogue was only available in German. Great exhibition space. Bright and airy and excellent helpful staff.

I visited this museum based on the work of the architect, Richard, Meier, that I know. He's done the Getty in Los Angeles and the High in Atlanta. It is a beautiful stark, white structure with powerful ramps throughout. The exhibition space is lovely, and while I was there, there was a terrific Andres Gursky photographic exhibit. The museum only... More

Interesting building but expensive ticket (17 euros with Kunsthalle next door). Strange artworks all by. artists I haven't heard of. Difficult to recommend unless you are really into German art.

This is a wonderful museum that does not take too long to visit, with excellent modern art displayed artistically as well. The building itself is really interesting and cool and white and pleasant, and, for me, was at least half the fun.

This museum is remarkable as a display of the taste and continuing ambition of a privat collector. As such, it on the one hand, introduces into the collection assembled over the decades, which is excellent and has deeply influenced the views on modern art in Germany, although, in my view, it is remarkably one sided in favoring Richter, Baselitz and...
