This part of the city is lovely. Wondering around the meandering small streets. Lots of shops and outside places to eat. Make sure you find the hidden corridors behind the doors, really surprising. Make sure you have time for a drink and watch the world...More

Exploring the beauty of the Vieux Lyon is almost like the children game of 'hide-and seek'. On the surface the Old Town offered various attractions and thrown-in the secret passages, traboules, the place is very unique indeed. Twice that we visited Vieux Lyon, we noticed...More

First time to Lyon and loved it. Easy to get to Vieux Lyon from main bus/train station by public transportation. Great pedestrian streets, interesting shops, museums, boulangeries, restaurants. Just a treat all the way around.

Lyon itself is a compact city and easy to get around on foot or by public transport. The old town has narrow passageways with hidden surprises. Numerous museums, hidden passages which can be accessed by the public. Countless places to eat and a friendly upbeat...More

The is a lovely city centre strolling area although there are many cobbled streets. View the alleyways and closes which residents are happy to open for viewing by visitors. Visit the cathedral and museums and enjoy the many cafes and restaurants.
