One of the most picturesque lakes I've seen

We stayed 5 nights almost on the banks of this lake, and the view every morning made m so happy. I can't recommend this are enough.

Great place, with something for everyone - shops, bars, restaurants, you can hire a rowing boat, motor boat (recommended) go for picnics, ride bikes or go paragliding (my favourite). If you're fit and adventurous, there's the Dents de Lanfon or La Tournette to climb, both with views of the Aravis and Mont Blanc. Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard is also worth a... More

If you are in Annecy, you are going to see the lake. It is lovely with its circle of snowcapped mountains, bevies of swans, sidewalk cafes, and connecting canals.

This was a second visit to Annecy, where the lake is a huge attraction. There are plenty of benches in the adjacent park for enjoying people-watching, the boats, bicyclists and just resting from a walk around the old town.

Such a picturesque and romantic location. Beautiful sunset walks, picnics, great photo opportunities. I would recommend hiring a bike and riding around the lake (if you're energetically inclined), you can cover much more ground and find some nice spots for a swim in the beautiful cool blue water.

Since the water of the lake comes from the glacier, it offers a pure, emerald color which is absolutely stunning with the mountains in the background. Take some time to just have lunch in the park or to take a look at the wonderful view. Images your eyes won't forget

You will love this lake with his great surrounding of the snow covered mountains. Water clear, nice gardens and perfect for a walk. You can make a boat trip, rent a pedal boat or enjoy yourself on a park bank with a picnic.

I hate the word quaint but it does describe the old town well along with picturesque, walkable and easily accessible.

A beautiful lake with paths and cafés and restaurants all along one edge. Easy access to the town of Annecy itself which is well worth a visit. Lots of places to park too.
