This new Marseille museum is wonderful. In three separate rooms, it tells the story of the French revolution and the role that Marseille citizens played in it. The use of sound and audio visuals is innovative and effective. It is tucked away on a little...More

Didn't begrudge the €s or the temperamental translation. I have been very familiar with the words tune and historical context of the song since learning it at school during my first week of French at eleven. I wished there had been more while I was...More

Totally overpriced museum. This is a very small museum, with nothing much except a movie. Te English translation didn't work. Nothing much also to do there. Waste of time.

We loved the animation and the use of sound. The whole presentation in the three rooms is imaginative and fascinating. Not the usual dry old recital of facts and static history.

This memorial to France's catchy National Anthem is located on a narrow street that has a metal sign over it describing it as "Rue Des Arts". Tellingly, the only thing that distinguishes it from other streets in the immigrant ghetto it is located in is...More

Thanks for expressing your opinion. However, I have to say that you do not have to wait for a football game in order to listen to La Marseillaise in tis original and official version - at least three of them are recent recordings (between 2005...More

Thanks very much for the enthusiasm. As you may know, next year is going to be Marseille Provence 2013, European Capital of Culture and plenty of new museums (including MUCEM, CEREM, Regards de Provence..) and renewed museums (such as the history museum, the museum of...More
