I loved this Basilique!

We visited this place during a Shore Excursion provided by the Royal Caribbean, it was so nice. We loved the location and the historical look of the Basilique.

To get to the church you have to climb one Streaky and narrow street. But it's cool. It's beatiful because from there you can see a little part of Basilique Notre Dame de la Gard. And when you arrive...WOW - unbelievable, amazing....You can see Marseille. You can ignite a candle. You can pray. You can think about your dreams... Go... More

I said about the Vieux-Port that if you did not got to it you did not visit Marseille. The same could be said about the Basilique of Notre Dame de la Garde. It is impossible NOT to see it, if you are anywhere in Marseille. You can see it from practically anywhere downtown Marseille. It is in the highest point... More

Took a very short boat ride at 50 euro cents to other side of harbor and walked uphill to the cathedral. Breathtaking views of Marseille. A must visit.

For the reasonably fit, it is quite practical to walk from the Vieux Port to the Basilica Notre Dame de la Garde, but it is necessary to be aware that the ascent to the Basilica, while following regular roads and footpaths, is quite steep. For those not ready to do the walk, the small tourist train from the Vieux Port... More

Nothing to see dirty band stinky. Even tags on the walls... Sad the amount of people that disrepectful this Christian monument in Marseille is insane. Dangerous city. Beware of danger.

This is worth every bit of the hike to the top of the hill even if it's only to see the views across Marseille If you have any issues walking up very steep hills book a taxi or use the little train

It would a long climb but we went up on the little tourist train and that was just 8 euros and a good choice.
