Ideal beach for families, with crystal clear water, shallow access and some sandy parts. Icing on the cake, there is a huge car park next to it, plenty of restaurants/food trucks and a place where you can rent paddles.

Smelt really bad , and parking was way overpriced compared to st Maxime where it was free, no toilets in sight and food was age away . Parking will cost you at least 15 euros for the day. Go to ST Tropez or something be...More

It's sand for one. Not rocks. The water is warm and there are a few cafe and restaurants at your convenience. What more can you ask? This is a must visit if you like beach time.

This has to be one of the prettiest and most scenic harbors along the French Riviera. The beach here in Villefranche-sur-Mer is a short 15 minute walk from the cruise port so there is no need for a taxi or train transfer. It makes little...More

We enjoyed a morning strolling along the beach from Plage des Marinières to Plage de L’Ange Gardien. It is a bit quieter/less busy than the main beach drag along Promenade des Anglais and a few more of the beaches have sand versus only pebble/rock. There...More

Jolie site close to Nice but not so crowded. Walking distance from Nice Port. Enjoyable walk with fantastic view on both side of Cap de Nice.

The grandchildren loved the crystal clear and warm water. Lots of tiny fish tickling their toes. There isn't a great deal of room on the beach and no shade. The locals had it right to bring an umbrella. Lovely place.

Went there during peak season so the beach was crowded. Nevertheless, we still had a great time at the lovely albeit pebbly beach.

The beach is easy to get to on the train from Nice, less than ten minutes. Rue trans are very frequent in the week but less so at weekends, meaning the trains were packed. We got there at about 9.45am on a Saturday and it...More

This was my favorite spot on the Riviera! I recommend purchasing a spot on the private beach. 20 euros (Towel, lounge chair, and umbrella) Drinks (8-10 euros) Meals (10-15 euros, some more pricy around 22 euros) I loved it, and will be back next summer!

Villefranche is absolutely lovely and would recommend staying there however, it is super easy from the train station there to go to Monaco and Nice. There is more to do in Nice and Monaco, it just depends if you want busy or... More
