It took Baroness Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild, one of the most original women on the French Riviera, seven years to build one of the most beautiful sites on the Côte d’Azur. An enlightened art enthusiast who travelled back and forth across France and Europe, Béatrice de Rothschild built up an incomparable and eclectic collection of masterpieces: priceless Sèvres and Vincennes porcelain, works by Fragonard, paintings by the masters (Boucher, Carpaccio, Tiepolo, etc.), Louis XVI furniture, and so on.

Most definitely worth a visit if you are in Nice or surrounding area - very easy to reach using local buses. Truly superb gardens - lots of different zones. The musical fountains are magical. I was here in early September and even though it was a very warm day there were plenty of shaded areas to take a rest as... More

After having spent a lot of time in France, it takes a lot to get my full attention. This place got it! A truly magnificent villa and gardens lovingly restored to its glory days in the early 1900s, complete with furnishings of historic significance. And the location has views in spades. I would strongly recommend springing for the audio guide... More

A gorgeous house in a lovely setting - beautifully preserved for visitors to enjoy. Well worth exploring the beautiful gardens. We were lucky with the weather and got some great photos. The gift shop proved tempting too!

The gardens of this villa are beautiful and very well maintained. Bring your camera becase there are dozens of great photo opportunities, including the central fountain which has water jets timed to classical symphonies. The villa itself is also well curated and maintained as the self-guided audio tour takes you on a journey back to the turn of the 20th... More

This is a must visit on the Cote D'Azur. The history of the villa is fascinating. The objets d'art are quite exquisite and well presented. The gardens are spectacularly beautiful and well maintained. A thoroughly well worth trip.

Well worth the entry fee- we spent two partial days here and had a wonderful lunch! Both the interior tour and the garden tour is beyond spectacular and the musical fountains will entertain you for sure!

This imposing mansion requires an enormous amount of upkeep, and it seems that they don't have the full budget to do it justice. It could have, at one time, been very beautiful, but it was just "ok." There are better ways to spend your time.

This place is a little piece of heaven with a beautiful Villa and gardens with fascinating musical water fountains and great views overlooking on one side the bay of pretty Villefranche and on the other side lovely Beaulieu, not forgetting too, the views of the amazing homes and gardens below the Villa on Cap Ferrat itself including David Niven's old...
