I live less than a block away, and usually just walk the dog in the charming park, but the beautiful, decaying building houses some great art. Many unexpected works, including some household names, housed in a stunning building that just cries out to be restored.

This museum is a bit off the beaten track, and is not top rank, but contains some curiosities. It was created by Jules Cheret, whose chocolate-box effusions greet one on arrival, but there are some good things further in: a Bronzino crucifixion, two medieval Madonnas, some Picasso ceramics, a roomful of Dufy - one needs to hunt around. And if... More

Rather off the beaten track and quite disappointing for habitués of good fine arts museums. Almost the only piece of art worthy of note is a copy of Rodin's The Kiss, which will be know to anyone who has been to London's National Gallery. The building itself is handsome, but in need of renovation - especially at ceiling level.

Europe is filled with museums containing great masterpieces. This one is not a mega museum, but a very nice one worth visiting. If you have a museum pass which includes this one, well worthwhile.

Take 38 bus there and back to get a good tour of urban Nice. The museum is well laid out and enjoyable, with excellent gardens. A fine collection of Jules Cheret paintings

if you want somewhere to stop in at the end of the promenade, and you bought the combined ticket, take a peek, but it's not worth a special trip on it's own.

I can't work out how come I hadn't been before. This little art museum is an absolute gem. Not only the building - a lovely old house that was built in the 19th century - but the beautiful collection of art ranging form Picasso ceramics, Raoul Dufy paintings and more. Just a few 100 metres back from the Promenade des... More

This is a good museum which is in the rota of those you can view over 3 days for one fee and it, like a couple of others (check my reviews!)is well worth it. Even the building which houses the exhibits is an airy appealing structure with excellent flow from room to room. You can view limited works of some... More

The medieval art work was of a standard you would expect for any European city art collection however the overall contents of this museum were lacking. For such an extensive building the collections were quite plain with nothing to catch the eye. If you are in the area it is worth dropping in if you don't have to pay for... More

Very Interesting building externally. Inside it wasn't so impressive architecturally and wasn't in very good condition. In particular I found the work of Jules Cheret and the Belle Époque posters interesting. I can see why they call him the father of the modern poster. The Raoul Dufy exhibits were also really good. A great contrast to the early masterpieces on... More
