After dinner we strolled through Nice. More specifically the old town. It’s very nice with good history and a lot of action. We love the fountains and the cobble stone side streets. Exactly what you’d expect an “Old town” in Europe to feel like!

The old town is a lovely part of Nice. By day it is bustling around the flower market area and by night bars with live music and restaurants create a lovely atmosphere.

It's nice that a big city like Nice still manages to keep the ambience of its old town. Narrow quaint streets, little plazas, a market that operates every morning selling fresh produce. Ofcourse there are lots of restaurants and souvenir shops. A great area. Climb...More

Also known as Vieux Ville, Nice’s Old Town stretches from the foot of Castle Hill to the Place Masséna, the city’s main square. A maze of narrow streets punctuated with broad promenades, the medieval quarter evokes the time in history when Nice was allied with...More

There is plenty to see along the sometimes very narrow streets of Old Town Nice. Shops, cafes, restaurants, flower market, fish market, churches. You can find it all in this wonderful area.

so many tiny shops, restaurants, and things to look at, that it is tough to see the entire area. The sardine feeling is difficult during full tilt, but the morning and evenings are fun. We found our breakfast spot there on the third day and...More

Shops, cafes of every description, large and small. Different smells come from each. Wonderful ice cream in the square and old buildings to visit

We stayed in the Old Town this time and were amazed that we had only previously scratched the surface. Off the Place de Justice are numerous little alleys, full of shops, restaurants etc. Packed with visitors during the day, less so at night when almost...More

This is a lovely town to explore... so many features, too many to say... from the markets to the many shops and restaurants... be warned a long standing tradition has it that the cannon fires every midday , so don't be alarmed!

Sorry for the delay. It was chilly when we were there the first part of May. So I'm sure it would be cold during your time frame. Would suggest looking at average weather temps online. Jacket, scarf and pants were needed. We... More
