Unlike other places this was “English language friendly” place. There were even audio guides and descriptions in English. Fantastic exposition! Art lovers and simply intelligent people must see this! Purpose build museum to keep Chagall’s work in one place! Great garden and nice place for...More

This museum was recommended by a friend and I am pleasantly surprised to have found that it was full of energetic works of art. Colours are amazing and the regilious overtones were not as off-putting as some have suggested. I'm a slight fan after this...More

I really enjoyed my visit. We stayed for hours and only left when we were too exhausted to look at anything else. The permanent exhibit of Chagall's large scale biblical paintings is outstanding, but when we visited I found the temporary exhibit of self portraits...More

We weren't all that familiar with Chagall's painting but after visiting the museum, we have become lovers of his work. Especially his use of bold colors. We had trouble finding the museum. We went by tram and then walked. The signage was not as good...More

Having the opportunity to see these magnificent masterpieces in the flesh was a true gift. The bonus factor was seeing the temporary Chagall tapestry exhibit. You should definitely listen to the audio commentary while walking through the museum, it explains the story of each piece...More

To borrow the free audio guide you need to hand in a driving license or a passport. The guide is excellent and increases the pleasure of studying these Biblical paintings.Don't miss this.

The collection displays a vision of history told from Chagall's unique perspective. The accompanying audio tour is informative. If you visit during the week it is likely you will encounter at least one school tour, join them and listen to how the collection is explained...More

No. The cafe at the Chagall museum is very pleasant. You can walk from one to the other but if you see my review of the Matisse museum you won't waste your time. Chagall is between 1 1/2 and 2 hours.
