No, it isnt the biggest museum you will ever go to but it does have some really good historical photos of the area. We thought it was worth 10euros but if you are expecting a huge grand museum then you may not.

The building is lovely and contains information on the history of Nice and its people. Only thing is all information in French, no english.

I've been to Nice 4 times over the past 9 years. Have always meant to check out this museum and finally did on the last visit. It's a waste of time. Supposedly it's an overview of art history and Nice. Really? Didn't get that. Lack luster exhibits. Not well thought out. Not even interesting content. I was expecting something along... More

This villa has been recently restored and is very grand and just beautiful on the ground floor. It is very easy to get to, just by the beach and next to Hotel Negresco. On the top floor the curators have art gallery shows which highlight the history of Nice and we saw and interesting display of old posters and advertising... More

A marvellous house kept in the style of the original owners - you can step into the life of the once royal family that lived here. Upstairs you have exhibitions of life in Nice during that period with photos, plans and articles. Great way to spend a few hours if the weather is not too good

We popped in here on our wandering along the Promenade des Anglais following an interesting visit 2 years ago. The major change is it is no longer a free attraction! 10€ seems a bit steep when the exhibit explanations are only in French but it still offers an intriguing glimpse into life in early Nice and how the city developed

Quite interesting museum, where you could spend some time learning more about the history of Nice and the Napoleon empire. The lack of chairs, the unfriendly women in the entry and their refusal to let the visitors leave their soaked clothes and umbrellas in a closet ( security reasons) unfortunetely destroyed the overall impression.

It is not a museum competung with some high level museums in the city, but if you are nearby, it worth visiting.

Josephine's tiara, Napoleon's vest and death-mask, exhibits on Nice history and Garibaldi (born here). Well worth the visit.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here, the rooms are magnificent and the paintings they have acquired are extremely good. We stayed 3 hours and enjoyed every minute
