Spent New Year at Place Massena. Lovely place to be for New Year. It was very clean, atmospheric. Would definitely recommend this area for the festive session

As you stroll through the cobbled and narrow streets and alleyways, you will come to this very wide and impressive square. Worth a see and a great location to stop by the old town (vielle ville).

Busy area but big enough to take the crowds. Nice place to sit and watch the world go by. A must visit if you like to shop.

Main focal point of the city center - the start of the shopping streets, the boulevard etc. Nothing much to do there, but it is a convenient location both for a shopping tour or to explore the old city and the seaside.

One of the most happening places in Nice. Lots of activity around this place. There is something for everyone at this place. Shopping, Food, Kids activities, you have everything required to spend a perfect evening. Lighting on the street and shops, the fair around Christmas...More

Back after a couple of years and the attractions are really nice this year and looks like many safety features. Nice lights and displays and many cafes and restaurants to even sit out in the sun and catch some nice winter sun.

Place Massena seems to be the "main" square, and definitely has the greatest amount of stuff to see on foot in the area. We found a fair, tons of fountains, a big playground, and various other things along the way here!

I'm not big on a large square filled with people, but sometimes it is quite lovely to just people watch. If you're lucky, a pianist will entertain onlookers with classical piano.

Greetings, You need to go there after sunset ... around 9 pm. For those who do not know what the "Conversations of Nice" are about: "Built in the 1840s, Place Masséna remains the jewel of Nice. On the north side, elegant... More
