The museum doesn't have any big name pieces but it makes up for it with its big name international artists who originated from Nice. It's refreshing not to be absolutely swamped by hordes of people in this space unlike other museums like the Met or the British Museum. The space itself is quite interesting; easy to navigate, well laid out... More

Second day in Nice decided to go for a nice cultural experience. the museum is pretty well done, one can see very interesting art , some very nice artists (i liked Niki de St Phalle) just wonderful highly recommended. The life and art f the artists is also very nicely presented in specific sections of the museum. The shape of... More

We spent several hours exploring this museum of modern art on our recent trip to Nice in December. This is an impressive collection and it has withint it my favourite Andy Warhol of all - the huge canvas depicting the ladies' shoes! It is also worth the climb to the top of the building to walk around at roof-level on... More

Advertised as closing at six every day but decided to close before 5 on new year's Eve without any notice. Lots of people were arriving for the last hour and sunset would have been visible from the roof. Staff refused to explain why there was no notice and refused to provide complaint form!

I loved this and it really floats my boat. Within the interior the light flowed particularly well. I particularly enjoyed a group of plastic bottles tied together hanging on the wall. The roof terrace garden was also good although the lift was monopolised by non disabled people when it was marked for use by disabled only - maybe it was... More

I cannot recommend this museum highly enough. I adored it. I got to see the Ernest Pignon-Ernest exhibit, which was so inspiring. I loved reading his words on his creative process. The permanent collection was amazing as well. If you are a fan of modern and contemporary art it is a must visit, if you are not yet a fan... More

There is a dedicated segment for Yves Klein with his works of International Klein Blue, etc. A bit smaller than expected, but unique, and very Côte d'Azur. From the rooftop you can get a wonderful view of Nice. A walk though the park on your way to the museum is quite pleasant as well.

City of Nice, don't throw your crown jewels away! A fantastic circular, rather 360° building. Unfortunately deteriorating in several places. The collection has some interesting features, but surprisingly weak on Yves Klein works.

Amazing temporary exhibition on Ernest Pignon-Ernest. After going through all the galleries go up to the rooftops for a 360 of Nice.
