    Revisiting and adored
This place does not cease to amaze me each time I visit. The location, the architecture and the fascination for the Greek culture is fabulous. The design and the architecture are special and is one of the treats to imagine how life would have been there and then. Park your car next to the Beaulieu Casino as the entrance of the villa is on a dead end. Take your time to admire the terrace and garden. Watch the translation of the dog sign at the entrance though.

    How the other half lived...
There is no doubt that the Villa Kerylos is an amazing building in a stunning location. The former summer home of a rich Parisian built in the style of a Greek villa is beautiful but it must have been a bit like staying in a theme park (albeit a very grand and beautiful one) . Definitely worth a visit even if you just see the bathrooms upstairs . In the basement, there is currently a small and interesting exhibition on the excavations on Delos.

A Dream of Greece on the Côte d'Azur
On the face of it “a dream of Greece” in the south of France sounds strange but this lovely Greek Villa was a brilliant surprise. Not sure where visitors would park in the summer as there were just 7 spaces in the road outside. On two floors, the building was a homage to the guy who built it rather than a museum. Seems he collected everything Greek. The roof area was out of bounds, which was a shame. In the basement was an Antiques Gallery with casts of many well-known Greek (and Roman?) statues. Here there were also a few old black & white photos of the family that lived there. The leaflet we were given explained the family history but a few more photos would have been interesting – we didn’t notice one of Herr Reinach at all. The Villa is on a peninsular, with great views in all directions.

Probably best to do this with a combo ticket to the Rothschild estate. You can walk between the two, 20 to 30 minutes. Or hop back on the 15 bus. A more than a century old summer palace built to conform with Grecian styles. Most inside are replicas, but entertaining to see, nevertheless. Overlooks Baie des Fournis with a good parcel of yachts bobbing in front of you. Once you pay you have the choice of just strolling on through, using a small informational brochure, or accepting an audio guide. You'll probably do the latter even though it's a bit pompous and drawn out. If you are fluent in French, they do offer guided tours.

An early 20th-century recreation of an ancient Greek villa built as a private residence, the place is truly impressive, especially the Peristyle and the Marble room. The garden, some recreated statuary, and the views across the bay can sustain several hours of lingering.

Entry fee was moderate and it is a very interesting place to visit if you like seeing luxurious mansions that have been turned into museums. Very well maintained 100 year old house built to mimic ancient Greek houses, but with lots of 20th century thrown in. Furnishings and collections are original and interesting and they have a museum with some old full sizes greek statues in the basement. Grounds are lovely too and a great view of the sean and coast.

A summer home of a well educated politician in the early 1900s. He attempted to build a home of that time but completely decorated with recreated Ancient Greek art. Quite an achievement. Good to see Ancient Greek mosaic, furniture, lamps , vases and wall paintings that are recreated and complete, based on those real ones found in ancient ruins or museums.

This monument is a treasure. The former owner was a great admirer of antiquity, but he and his family also accepted the modernity of their time (beginning of the 20th century). The garden, the building, the furniture, the decoration is extremely rich and beautiful. I have never been in such a nice place before.

Located a short walk from the Beaulieu-sur-Mer train station is this unique villa perched on a small peninsula that seems to be floating in the Mediterranean. This holiday home is the realized dream of Théodore Reinach, a prominent French-Jewish historian, politician, archaeologist, mathematician, author, professor and above all, a scholar of Ancient Greece. The home is designed to replicate (liberties taken) an ancient Greek villa. The inlaid tile work on the floors is incredible. The upstairs shower and main level spa/bath is something you must see to believe. Although the home dates back to 1908, it features many mod-cons we find in our homes today. The gravel terraces that surround the house offer incomparable views overlooking the sea, Cap Ferrat and the vertical cliffs that surround Beaulieu-sur-Mer.

Do not miss this amazing place in Beaulieu! A historic house based on aristocratic dwellings of Ancient Greece. Fabulously maintained mansion with important artifacts and works of art in a breathtaking setting. Excellent example of design and architecture. Even the kids enjoyed the visit! One of the grande old homes of the Riviera's golden age.
