this is a great place to visit for all the family. The art can be appreciated by all ages. It is very colourful and quite intriguing. Everyone will have their own favourite....

Off the beaten path, but well worth a visit. Very modern, indoor and outdoor. Drive up the driveway and see if you can park at the top since the hill can be steep to climb.

As others have noted, this museum is not in a great shape and needs some repairs. In fact, there were 2 rooms which were not accessible as refurbishment works were ongoing. It is also confusing as to whether or not you have to pay. As soon as you enter there's an area which leads you straight in the museum, no... More

It is a sad sight to see both the building and the art works in such a bad shape. Some of the works are made up of tiles, with parts actually missing! The floors, the walls, the sealing, the furniture on sight.... all is in disrepair. How can a piece of art be treated this way? For us it was... More

The Fondation Vasarely is still in a poor state of repair with paint peeling off the artworks and the walls. A multi-venue exhibition entitled Multiplicite has amazing works but the catalogue won't be ready until after the show. Sad really.

Even if you are not a experienced art lover it is worth to visit the Vasarely Foundation. Each work has opportunities to study, although they look very simple at first sight. Public attention is needed to keep the museum running and renovating.

Visited with kids (aged 6 and 7). All enjoyed it but it's a bit expensive for a relatively small museum, and the place is not very welcoming, both because the exterior is very dreary despite the architecture and because the staff were very unfriendly. Avons visité avec enfants (6 et 7). Sommes bien amusés, mais c'est un peu cher pour... More

Huge and impressive works of art (and illusion), combining artistic visions with excellent craftsmanship, as some of the hanging tapestries demonstrate. Nowadays much of it can probably be replicated by basic visual software packages - Victor Vasarely had to use his imagination and understanding of science and geometry. The foundation in slightly outside the centre of Aix but very easy... More

A small gallery of the work of Vasarely very thought provoking and cleaver his ability to play with the mind is excellent.

Vasarely was a master of OPArt using many different mediums. Truly an amazing visual experience born in a world before computers. Just trying to figure how he created these is an education itself.
