Nice little market on the town square. Great produce selection. Table w honey and beeswax candles was awesome. Gentleman at the cheese table was very helpful and the cheese was delicious. Great place to pick up food for our trip.

This was a third time in Aix. The first time we came we stumbled upon the markets and absolutely love them all. The second time that we came, we were on a cruise and the day in port didn't align with the markets, so missed them entirely. Vowing not to let that happen again, we intentionally scheduled our stay in Aix to align with the markets...and once again we were not disappointed.

Aix's markets are every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and actually there are multiple markets throughout the city....clothing in one area, handicrafts in another, produce is a couple more. All are fantastic and all offer great buys and opportunities for learning. The produce available is unbelievable and if you want herbs, this is the place to get them. We purchased a huge kilo bag of herb du provence, which we divided up at home and gave out as gifts.

Definitely the markets should be a "must see" if your in Aix and, if possible, definitely schedule your visit to align with market days.

It's more than just a market. The market is not only a place where you can buy groceries. First of all, this is a place where you can chat, share news and, of course, discuss the quality of the goods sold…

A fun but touristy market. We received plenty of advice to be extra cautious of pick pockets. We experienced no issues. Excellent cheese selections and lots of international street foods to choose from. We did not buy much but it gave us a great sense of the culture and the area.

I went into this market walking from one attraction to another. Nice colored palce, full of fruits, vegetables, fishes. Loved the atmosphere there, worth to spend 20-30 minutes to look at the things to be bought.

Beautiful market square. Parked at Cardeurs which was convenient. Beautiful produce, honey, lavender products (sachets, oils, soaps, etc).

We visited the market early on Sunday morning and it was bustling--everone from old couples to young families doing their weekly shop. We began with breakfast at one of the little restaurants on the edge of the market and then we meandered through the market. Beautiful produce, friendly vendors and unique products. I had a great chat with a lovely man who had a little lavender stand (as opposed to the huge commercial stands that are in every market in Provence). Lots of great cheese, sausage, baking. Our favourite market by far. I will carry the memory of a little, little guy pulling the family grocery cart that was bigger than him, and a lovely, but ancient, man meandering through on his bicycle with a huge bouquet of roses in his panier.

My wife and I shopped at the Farmers Market in Aix-en-Provence on a Saturday morning during our two day stay in Aix. It is a great farmers market. It is one of my favorite markers in Europe. There is a good variety of fruits and vegetables as well as cheeses and breads. We bought some bread and cheese and I bought some duck confit. We went back to our Airbnb apartment and had a picnic on the rooftop terrace. It was one of the most memorable experiences of out trip to southern France.
