This fountain is located at the beginning of Corso Mirabeau.
It has truly impressive dimensions and is topped by three beautiful statues depicting Justice, Agriculture and Fine Arts.
At the base are numerous pairs of lions.
Unfortunately this fountain, as well as for almost all the others, did not have water: shame... no water feature.

Aix en Provence is a typical french town (not so little, actually), a place to see and discover and take beautiful photos like souvenirs.

If you visit Europe each small town has many fountains.
The Fountain de la Rotonde is the most famous of Aix-en-Provence.

Some plazas grab your attention, after all they are meant too. This roundabout with it’s massive round fountain is as wide as a football field at the fountain is in proportion in its height. It’s difficult to get a good picture due the wide angle and the traffic.

When I was last in the city, this fountain had shuttering all round it. Now back in working order and a great attraction.

A spectacular large fountain dominates a roundabout. There was quite a bit of construction around it when we were there in May. You can't miss it it is at the start of the Cours Mirabeau.

There is not much to do but sit and watch the fountain, yet it is a must see in Aix! It is an especially neat place at night when the area really comes alive.

Fontaine de la Rotonde is at the entrance to Cours Mirabeau in Vieil Aix. You walk by it from the train station going to Vieil Aix. This is the largest fountain in Aix.
