Small collection. Well curated with descriptions in French and English. Paintings near the glass railings on the upper levels are better viewed from th ground floor. Stunning transformation of a chapel.

The site is well located, in an old church, beautifully re-arranged. The collection is rich and diverse and its story is well told. A MUST for art lovers in Aix. Better than the original Granet.

I loved this museum. It’s fascinating to see a collection like this composed by one person. The art and the history of its accumulation was well presented. I liked this a lot more than the large Granet. Free for students!

We went here for a couple of hours one afternoon of our trip. We split an audio tour for 2 people and it was loud enough for us both to hear. I'd recommend getting the audio tour as most of the descriptions are only in...More

A well curated collection of Picasso. And the life of Jean Planque. A lovely location with easy access to the Cours Mirabeau.

The converted chapel is an amazing venue. The high ceilings really extend the room and creates a fantastic space. The collection has many pieces from well known artists. I found the story of Jean Planque, his life and how he built his collection particularly fascinating....More

This XVIIth century church houses a fine collection brought together by the Swiss autodidact art expert Jean Planque. Highlights include a number of Picassos. What makes the museum stand out - other than the collection per se - is the beautiful building restored for the...More

In a converted chapel this is really a highlight. Well worth seeking out. Sensible display and not too much for people like us who are really not into modern art.
