Have been to Aix many times since 1993. Walk up the cours every time. It is such a stately, elegant space that has in recent years been significantly enhanced to improve the pedestrian experience At this time of the year the Christmas market is set up so you have to look to see the history past the glitz, but much... Cours Mirabeau is the main street up the center of old Aix. Lovely fountains, cute cafes. One of the upsides of Aix is that things are open and the street is lively even off season.

Nice wide street bustling with people and cafes on the sunnny side of the street. Well worth a promenade up and down when in Aix

This avenue full of high-end shops and good restaurants, is a must for all travelling to Aix en Provence. Starting from La Rotonde, and going up to the Rue d'Italie you will find high-end fashion shops for male and female clothing, all types of restaurants offering all types of cuisine. Cute little corners with fountains, terraces for meals, ice-cream, snacks,... More

A beautiful street; in fact the essential street for "le flâneur" with wide sidewalks and rows of plane trees, and restaurants. Find streets and passages leading to squares and monuments in the old town.

This wonderful plane tree lined avenue is iconic of Aix en Provence - leading on to its beautiful fountain - la Rotonde. It is always great to stroll along, whether in the winter with its Christmas Chalets or the summer, with the market stalls on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. People watching a must.

This old street is still relevant today, with interesting shops and excellent restaurants. Enjoy strolling down on a nice afternoon but come back in the evening for a completely different experience.

We spent four days in Aix. We spent time in the bars, restaurants and cafes along this tourist strip. The fresh produce and other markets were an attraction too. It is a place to watch humanity pass by, chat to people and enjoy the bar/cafe scene of this city.

Wonderful wide street that runs through the town lined either side with lovely shops, restaurants and cafés. Along the route are old fountains covered in moss which add to the whole beauty of the area. Stop a while in one of the street cafés and watch the world go by.

I could walk along this Boulevard everyday and never tire of the atmosphere. The magnificent trees on both sides of the street provide a beautiful canopy. The shops are exclusive ,and mix well with the market vendors who sell their variety of goods 3 days/wk.There is an abundance of cafes on the "sunny side" of the street, which are always busy.
