This is an enjoyable hike up from the dam. It'll take a couple hours up and down (unless you're the guy who ran past us going up and back down). Great views. It's a little drive outside of Aix (and make sure Google doesn't send...More

Beautiful hike! Be sure to ask a local before you go which trail to take though, it can be a little confusing.

Travelled to a small village called Puy Loubier to have dinner. Arrived early so drove around - What a spectacular mountain. Beautiful! No wonder painters come from so many countries. Worth a visit!

This is a great place that you can visit for free. It is easiest to visit by driving, but you can also take the bus and ask the driver the best place to stop. You can take a bus towards Puyloubier or a bus towards...More

Parked in the Parking Anchoise, just past Le Tholonet. Then walk up to the Croix passing the Priory en route.Beautiful views all the way up. Walk took us just under 31/2 hours there and back. Well worth the effort but it is a strenuous climb.

We took the blue route from Bimont dam. Sign said 2.25 hours but it took us closer to three with frequent stops needed for rest. This route is almost all in the sun and the white rock reflects light up as well. Sunglasses, hat, and...More

Spectacular views, quite a difficult climb in places. We went in March, but it was still pretty hot, so hats and water are a must.

I travelled on a little local bus (no 110) from Aix to visit the villages at the foot of this wonderful mountain. Its presence is so important to Aix, being the mountain that Cézanne painted over 80 times. I believe there are trails but I...More

Yes it is possible to go by bike from Aix, we have used our road bikes before. Follow the D17 through Le Tholonet. Not sure how far you can go up the mountain though with MTBs

Hi We stayed at the Mercure hotel in Ste Victoire. Hotel was fine but we ate in Aix: the hotel restaurant is very expensive for what it is and there are no other cafes or restaurants in Ste Victoire.
