It is well worth making a detour from the motorway to visit this cathedral which is sited on top of a hill. There is a free car park near the rear of the cathedral, which is reached by just a few minutes walk through the backstreets. The tourist office, with free toilets, is sited adjacent to the cathedral in a... More

Well maintained and clean. Many side chapels and stained glass windows. Visited in March and the Cathedral was empty and quiet. Enjoyed the silence. Quite close to main town square and plenty of cafes nearby.

A rather Grand Cathedral for such a small town. One must take a look around and inside it as its quite beautiful and popular at any time year

A beautiful example of medieval architecture in a setting with a gorgeous view. The gargoyles and bell tower sculptures alone are worth the visit.

The Notre Dame has been one of the buildings on my list for many years. The beauty and history of Notre Dame is something not to be missed, even if your not into history or art its still something everyone will appreciate. We went a little to late for what i would have liked (round about 17:00) and could access... More

Laon is a fine example of 12 and 13C French Gothic Architecture. Fine interior and west end facade. West portals are well worth spending time looking at the sculpture whilst the east end Rose Window stained glass is one of the finest in France

Fantastic historic location with wonderful architecture. It is truly amazing how these old buildings were designed and built several hundred years ago.

So glad we visited this cathedral it is beautiful, magnificent and full of history. Music playing quietly added to the atmosphere, full of colour and life. Felt how I think a church building should feel. Well, worth a visit.
