Wonderfully different- stone carvings some on blocks some directly into the cave walls of the various churches and chateau around the area. They state take an hour to visit but I'd be surprised you would need that long. But still definitely worth going. Combine with...More

We visited this museum and another one (mushroom museum) which have apparently the same owner and you can buy reduced tickets if you visit both. The artist is very talented and used the local limestone ("tuffeau") to create several castles and monuments in details. The...More

An interesting visit that shows what can be done with a little imagination and a lot of skill. But I would not waste my money buying a "duel" ticket for a visit to the Museé de champignon

The caves are great and the sculptures breathtaking. The years of work is amazing. If you feel the cold take warm cloths. I did it in a tshirt and it was fine.

Was nice for the family. Pretty interesting. Only took around an hour, but we got to have a go at making our own stone things afterwards. Staff were great (and spoke perfect english)

Visited with grand parents and two children whilst on a short break in the area. Exquisite sculptures with such detail. Scenes including places we had visited made it even more interesting. The church from Tours was so exact. Only a hour or so to walk...More
