Not really that impressive. All stained glass is new or non traditional. It was bombed in WWII by Allied planes (June 1944) and there was also a fire in the roof in 1972. 1776.

We were delighted with such a beautiful and clean cathedral. We followed the easy visitor guide which drew us to all the major points of interest. Worth a peak in the door.

Very Beautiful Cathedral. The internal arches and pillars are absolutely stunning. The main nave is surrounded by smaller chapels each with its own history.

Two square towers dominate the austere facade, which contrasts with the light, wide, limestone interior. The large, airy interior is an impressive 100m long with 120-foot high vaults (higher than the Notre-Dame in Paris). The whiteness of the walls and the rich colors of the stained-glass windows make for a striking contrast. Nantes Cathedral's most notable treasure is Michel Colomb's... More

An interesting place to visit. Not very decorative. Lovely stain glass. We could not get access to the crypt which was disappointing. Gothic architecture

A beautiful cathedral, among the best in France. Dating from the Britanny kingdom age. Close to the castle, this is the heart of the city. Fire in the early seventies, the roof was destroyed. I was there, very emotional to see this big building afire in the night. I cryed! Since then, it has been restaured.

My husband and I walked against an jovial crowd as we made our way to watch the L'Odyssee des reves at the Cathedrale de Saint-Pierre et Saint-Paul. The light projections, set to music, on the facade of the cathedral made people of all ages ooh and awe. (Available 23-30 December 2016 from 19:30-22:00/ 7:30-10pm, lasts about 12 minutes)
