Stumbled upon this Cathedral during our green line walk of Nantes. Very impressive Gothic building containing the tomb of Francois II. Be sure to view the tomb from the small walkway above. Stain glass windows are very unique and absolutely gorgeous. I get tired of...More

This cathedral is centrally located and is a great place to look around when it rains in Nantes (which it generally did during out September break). It seems larger inside than it looks from the outside, but that must be because of the sheer height...More

Beautiful arhitectural pearl of Nantes. Especially worth visiting inside. Go to see a tomb on your right.

Some lovely stained glass windows, quite a simple cathedral but obviously well used by local staff. Carving on outside of building very interesting.

The Cathedrale is well worth visiting and, because it was rebuilt twice in the mid-late 20th century, it is in much better built condition than many French cathedrals. Of special visual note is the splendid stained glass windows and the high quality of stone carving.

Really useful visit. Very beautiful inside. Visit castle first and then go to cathedral to follow the story

We thought the cathedral was a bit of a let-down, but perhaps that is because we are so used to lush Italian churches. The only thing we found stunningly beautiful and interesting was the tomb of duke Francis II and his wife.

Its a typical cathedral and thankfully little of the idolatry that so many have. Is obviously very restful and interesting. Worth looking at but nothing remarkable.
