This maybe the most stunning beautiful well-kept old house in Angers. We had visited the shop in the first floor and be amazed about what they offered. Must go place in Angers.

While many of these houses are interesting this one stands out, There are perhaps fifty carved figures on the facade. Really interesting, plus trying to find the male figure with his pants pulled down always fun.

We came across this whilst having a walk around the town on the evening we arrived. It was sadly closed, so we couldnt look inside but what I could see through the windows was lovely. Not sure if I would go in with young kids,...More

Amazingly this lovely old building has survived into the modern age. One can but half close one's eyes and think of it in the days when it was one of many. It provides a real contrast between those earlier years and the succeeding centuries

Like many others, we chanced upon this extraordinary piece of mediaeval architecture by accident whilst heading to see the Cathedral ion Angers. It has the most wonderful wooden carvings on the exterior, including the famous one of a local man with his trousers down, known...More

Since the shop inside is housed in a legitimate historic monument, you'll find the quality of the goods offered (as well as the prices) to be higher than the usual, as one would expect. I bought a number of tapestry pillow-covers that were easy to...More

Thank you for your comment ! It was a pleasure to welcome you in our shop. However, we have to clarify that our shop is suitable for all budgets; as a matter of fact, that is one of our concerns to offer good quality artists'...More

We were waling around after visiting the Cathedral and happened to go into the little square that houses the building. I wouldn't necessarily seek it out but if you're in the area, it's worth a quick detour. There is a very interesting gallery at street...More
