There was a special Picaso exibit that was showing while we were there. Very cool. This would be a must see for anyone interested in ceramics.

If you love ceramics, don't miss this gem. The collection of ceramics was extraordinary. One of my best moments was a woman pointing to some platters saying that her grandmother had a set of plates exactly like those displayed.

The museum occupies the hotel Hocqueville since 1984 (said Bellegarde hotel). Dating from the seventeenth, it is built on the ruins of ''château de Rouen'', it was built on the ruins of the Roman theater of Rotomagus.

If you are in Rouen anyway and have nothing better to do, this is an interesting museum. There is a fairly good pictorial of the "faience" process. Their collection of Rouen faience is very limited. If as I did, you travel 7000 miles to see...More

One is amazed at the skill of the artisans. Much of this collection is 16 - 17 century. Huge pots, tiles and household objects are housed In a beautiful building.
