if you're travelling at Rouen, choose this street to see official and typical historic center and buildings. Very beautiful, and restaurants and bars are very often good and welcoming. Recommanded !

The street is widely...unknown for people of Rouen. It is a pedestrian streets offering not that much apart the very nice and soothing "river" flowing all along.

We stayed in a gite or apartment while in Rouen for three weeks, and one of the best things about it was its location on Rue Eau de Robec. One of the city's quirkiest unusual small museums (in a city full of great small museums) is right there, the National Education Museum. But what Rue Eau de Robec is best... More

Along with the traditional houses there is a small stream that runs along the pavement. It makes a change in the regular street profile. The streem is covered at some places to give easy excess to the shops behind or by a entire patio for a restaurant. It reminded me of the 'Bagles' in Freiburg.

Lots and lots of historic half timbered houses in this area standing in small narrow streets. Imagine that this is what it was like 500 years ago! There are several small shops and cafes to stop in.
