We enjoyed this museum very much especially the Boudin section - perhaps a little too full of paintings - the upstairs light filled space of more contemporary art was better. Overall though, well worth a visit

A beautiful approach to the gallery, but difficult finding somewhere to park. Certainly there were plenty of original works of impressionist paintings. However, no photography is allowed. The building in which it is housed is very interesting and nicely tucked away down a pathway with...More

Visited with my wife and we were amazed at the variety and quality of the paintings. Not only was Boudin represented but there was an exhibition by the little-known Paul-Elie Gernez. Superb is the best way to describe him. 2 large nudes done in contrasting...More

It is an interesting gallery.very spacious. Amongst other things there are lot of fine paintings of Honfleur and the surrounding area. Worth visiting.

As something of a philistine, at least according to my wife, I sometimes struggle not to make for the coffee bar in art galleries. This place, with its emphasis on seascapes and moving scenes of families awaiting the return, or not of fishermen, is exceptional....More

It was a bit disappointing that the Boudin Museum has so few works by Boudin. They have a nice small collection of works by various artists.

If you like Impressionist painting this is a must; we came to Honfleur because of its place in art history, particularly Claude Monet's development as a painter. Eugene Boudin brought Parisian artists to Honfleur and was responsible for introducing Monet to painting "en plein aire"...More

Not making a pilgrimage to Honfleur for specific artists and their works, my expectations were low. Therefore I enjoyed the visit and the mix of styles presented. The odd sculpture never goes amiss and I found the cartoons by Jean Effel very entertaining. From the...More
