We enjoyed this museum very much. It was bright, spacious enough to see the exhibits clearly and yet small enough not to get saturated. Two floor were devoted to paintings, some of which were canvases by Eugene Boudin but other artists were also presented. One...More

Currently closed for renovation, but opens again on 1 May. From the write up it's worth a visit, but unfortunately we didn't get the chance on this occasion.

Always something new to see alongside the great main exhibits. This time it was fascinating drawings of WW1 and especially the British camps in the area.

While this museum is not well known, it is definitely worth a visit. Boudin's work influenced the more famous impressionist artists who followed him. I had never seen his work before and developed an appreciation for his talent after this visit to the museum. You...More

Many/most of the paintings would make any museum proud - but here they have no thematic or personal or even date based presentation and the exhibition named rooms have no meaningfull relation to what they show. We spent considerable time going over the rooms several...More

Didn’t get much out of it. Thought it would be more Monet like. In all fairness, we had just come from Paris so that is not a good comparison.

We enjoyed this museum very much especially the Boudin section - perhaps a little too full of paintings - the upstairs light filled space of more contemporary art was better. Overall though, well worth a visit

A beautiful approach to the gallery, but difficult finding somewhere to park. Certainly there were plenty of original works of impressionist paintings. However, no photography is allowed. The building in which it is housed is very interesting and nicely tucked away down a pathway with...More

Visited with my wife and we were amazed at the variety and quality of the paintings. Not only was Boudin represented but there was an exhibition by the little-known Paul-Elie Gernez. Superb is the best way to describe him. 2 large nudes done in contrasting...More

Maybe it was the day, but most of the collection was not of Boudin's works but of other painters. Very good, especially the special exhibition of the works of Gernez, an artist I did not know. It's worth the visit but if you are looking...More
