Situated near the British Military Cemetery of Bayeux, the Memorial Museum of the Battle of Normandy narrates the battles which took place in Normandy after the D-Day landings, between 7th June and 29th August 1944. The collections of military equipment, the diorama and the archival films allow the visitor to grasp the enormous effort made during this decisive battle in order to restore peace in Europe.

A good and very informative museum. 10€ entry. Unfortunately museums in Normandy are now a cottage industry and if you are visiting the area on a D Day type tour, you could spend a small fortune on entry fees! But this one is good and...More

We spent 3 hours there, including a 20 minute film ( alternately in French and English) as there is so much to see and absorb. Also worth walking over the the nearby military cemetary

Amazing collection. Very complete view of the first days after D day. You really feel the ambiance. Only remark: slightly expensive.

More than a museum, it brings you back to experience the reality of theses days, a must-do visit especially after having visited the surrounding battle-beaches (amongst which Arromanches with a dedicated small museum, and all other famous places) Take a couple of hours to deep-dive...More

A real C-47 paratrooper plane, real Sherman tanks, and more await you. Tells the story well and concisely regarding the D-Day landings and more.
