A great place to see for the history of all the battles that occurred in the Bayeux area during World War 2. In addition they have lots of military equipment that kids from 4-18 will love to see and appreciate. Lastly for the consumer, you...More

This museum is very informative and has lots on display. It covers the wider Normandy campaign from boths sides and not just D-Day alone. The museum is large with a small cinema and good exhibits. You can buy joint museum and tapestry tickets at the...More

Not mentioned in the same breath as the high profile Normandy museums like the Utah Beach Museum or the American Cemetery Museum, but if you are in Bayeux, this is worth a stop. A really nice display of military equipment from the Normandy campaign era....More

There's relatively little in this museum that would encourage a special trip to visit it, but it's worth a visit if you're in Bayeux; particularly as the price of a Tapestry/Gerard/Battle ticket is good value. The film that is shown is well balanced and informative.

Allow 2 hours to visit this small museum, a short walk from the center of Bayeux, and a nice complement to a D-Day beach Tour. Lovely staff and great little “movie”

We really enjoyed our visit to this museum - the displays were informative and well laid out. We left here having a greater understanding of the Battles of Normandy.

This was one of our three-museum ticket (also tapestry and MAHB) museums, and this proved an excellent preparation for our later visit to the Normandy beaches. We learned a lot about the German occupation of this part of France, from the photos etc and from...More
