Enthusiastic, knowledgable, humorous, mesmorizing story teller. We were fortunate to have booked with him. 9 and 1/2 hours flew by and we wanted more. Dale has a depth of knowledge, understanding and compassion for the events of the American invasions at Omaha and Utah. He also leads tours on the British and Canadian side. We will come back for those.... More

My wife, son (14 y.o.) and I thoroughly enjoyed our full day Band of Brothers Tour with Dale last month. Dale is obviously knowledgeable, passionate about his craft, personable and a pleasant guy to spend a day with exploring Normandy! He has a great collection of photographs/maps/stories/etc. that really bring June 1944 to life. We highly recommend taking a tour... More

My wife grudgingly acquiesced to a whole day tour of the American D-Day sights and I arranged it with Dale. At the end of the day, she exclaimed, "I wouldn't have give a minute of that day back!" Dale was superb, weaving together the big picture perspective with the very human stories of bravery and suffering. He made the invasion... More

The 386 other people that have rated Dale's tours as 5 stars are not wrong. He really is that good. One of the things that sets him apart is his ability to make the tour interesting on many levels. He knows the material of course but the dynamic way it which he presents it and makes it relatable is the... More

We just got home from France yesterday, on spring break from the U.S. with our two children, ages 11 and 8, as well as all four of our parents, ages 65-70. Last Tuesday we toured Normandy with Dale, and it was an absolute highlight of our week in France. Even our 8 year-old daughter, who I worried would be bored... More

So glad we toured with Dale, as his expertise made the difference between just seeing the sites and really understanding them in context. Worth every euro! Will return to do his British tour next.

Teenage daughter who "hates" history says best day of 2 weeks in Europe. Wow, what a fantastic day. Took the train from Paris Gare Saint-Lazare to Carentan, where Dale met us at the station. We spent the full day with Dale learning a ton of history but more importantly, listening to stories filled with human emotion in places Dale interviewed... More

My husband, nephew, and I booked a one day Normandy tour with Dale Booth. It was a highlight of our Paris trip and would highly recommend Dale. We took an early train from Paris to Carentan and Dale picked us up promptly at the train station. His van is roomy, clean, and comfortable. Right from the start he began his... More

Dale was an amazing tour guide who did so much more than just show us the sights. He spent a lot of time explaining the strategy and decisions around the Allied invasion. We came away with a much deeper understanding of the events surrounding D-Day. I saw the people who were visiting outside of a tour and I know that... More

What a wonderful experience! Enjoyed a wonderful day with my husband, son, and daughter-in-law, AND a great tour guide--Dale! From the time Dale picked us up at our hotel in Bayeux, we felt like we were with a dear friend. He is so incredibly knowledgeable, and although we know he has shared the history so many times with so many... More
