Ed's vast knowledge of the events and details of the Allied Invasion is amazing. He brings history to life. Definitely the highlight of our trip to France. If your trip to France includes a trip to Normandy, then be sure to schedule a tour with Ed at the Battle of Normandy Tours! The best!

Booked Ed for 1.5 days touring the D-Day beaches and area. Could not have made a better choice. He is knowledgeable, witty, and a great tour guide. Felt that he was really doing his best to bring the battle sites to life. No canned speeches, just good honest commentary. I don't think you will find a better guide for a... More

Alain from Overlord provided a fabulous tour of Omaha and Utah Beaches and the American Cemetery. We did the full day tour (Tour 2), and thought it was excellent. We have been to the Norman coast twice and both times it was extremely windy and cold. Dress accordingly!

I am reviewing the Half Day Tour by Viator out of Bayeux. Booking was very easily done and Viator staff responded to changes promptly. We took the tour with Francois who was not only knowledgeable, but passionate with appreciation of the battles that took place in Normandy & the people involved. We enjoyed it thoroughly. There were four of us... More

The Overlord half day Normandy tour from Bayeux is a great option if you are in Paris with limited time. You can do it all in 1 day. Take the early train from Paris to Bayeux from St Lazare station . It is about a 2 and half hour train ride. You will get to Bayeux with enough time to... More

We took a day trip up from Paris during our spring break. As a former Army officer I was excited to see the D-Day invasion sites, but not sure my kids would. Edward nailed it! Just as the reviews say he is incredibly knowledgeable, witty, and engaging. We spent the day laughing and learning. As he drove us site to... More

Our recent trip to Paris included a day trip to Normandy for our 14 year old WWII buff son. We booked with Edward on the advise of a travel guide and we were not disappointed. He met our train in Carentan and from there a full day of touring the various sites (German cemetery, Pont du Hoc, Omaha Beach, American... More

Ed Robinson is amazing and we have nothing, but positive things to say about our Normandy tour this past week. Ed went above and beyond to accommodate us and it was so greatly appreciated. He is an expert in military history and the Battles of DDay. His perspective and worldview is excellent and we learned so much. While the price... More

We had 3 couples in our group ( 2 American and 1 English). The Men were huge WW2 buffs, and actually learned more from Edward. He is extremely knowledgeable, he favors no side and will tell you who and how mistakes were made in battle strategy. Things you can't find in books. He had pictures of now and then and... More

Spent a wonderful day with Ed touring the Pointe du Hoc, the military cemeteries, and Omaha beach in early March as a day trip from Paris. His route is well thought out and provides as much as can possibly be absorbed in a day about the invasion and it's impacts on the area and the soldiers who participated. For private... More
