We had a very good time in this museum, found a little by chance on a rainy sunday. The building is quite pretty, well preserved on the whole (although some areas should be refurbished soon). The displays were interesting, the staff spoke fluent English and were very knowledgeable. The place was buzzing with all sorts of visitors. The link between... More

Well displayed and interesting museum. It's very small, I only spent about one hour there. All of the displays had french signs, but the staff is nice and speaks fluent english. I was at themuseum alone, but I think it would be a gteat activity for families with small children.

The museum was very interesting and had quite a broad collection. It was good to take a break from the cold weather and it was really affordable as it offered student prices.

More taxidermy based, the museum is by no means large but houses a decent collection. We visited on a weekend where all the government/town owned attractions were free. I think the normal price was around 5-7 Euros - worth it on a rainy day if you are into this kind of thing, although not for everybody.

Visited whilst in Lille at the weekend, wasn't really expecting to see hundreds (potentially into the thousands) of stuffed animals in display cabinets! A very small museum, a few skeletons, other exhibits but 90% stuffed animals... all a bit strange! Wouldn't go back, you couldn't possibly spend longer than an hour there!

Not a big museum by any means but very interesting. It has an extraordinary number of stuffed birds in numerous display cabinets. Not that I'm a fan of presenting animals in this way but these were done mostly in the 19th century when attitudes to conservationism was different. Some of the colours have faded a little but on the whole... More

Myself and my son spent the day in lille. To be honest the weather was so bad that we need to get inside. The place is lovley, it's not got the biggest of places but it's ok to spend an hour and at 7 .29 euros very cheap . Loved the cats

of course in the middle of lost animals as the dinosaurus, but also spiders, birds, butterflies...conserved there for our knowledge, when you are lucky to visit it at night with a torch lamp...you return to childhood if you are over 12 !
