Like any private collection, this one reflects the taste of the collector, Argentine art patron and writer Georges Bemberg, an American educated part-time Parisian. No great holdings, but about 15 rooms of interesting paintings, furniture and objets d'art. They could use far better arrangement and...More

This is a first rate private art collection, along the lines of the Wallace in London or the Frick in New York. Make sure you pick up the 'free' information leaflet at the entrance (it was available in English), which has a wealth of detail...More

Intriguing collection, reasonably well presented. Would benefit from more information about each piece and how/why the collection was put together.

The Renaissance Hôtel d'Assézat offers one of the most important private collections of art in Europe, assembled by George Bemberg. A beautifully presented collection of wonderful pictures by artists of various periods, between the Middle Ages and the 20th century, including Bonnard, Canaletto, Tiepolo, Veronese,...More

Visited the Fondation Bemberg based on TripAdvisor reviews. I was not disappointed. We received a lot of background info on how the museum began, the collection and the man behind it from the front desk. I love small museums and this was a treat. Amazing...More

This is a fine building, housing a very interesting and mixed collection of fine art. I enjoyed the modernist paintings particularly.
