It is marvellous little museum that has no entry cost if you buy a tourist pass from the Office of Tourism in Capitole . The art treasures are amazing and they provide detailed information sheets for most languages. You need at least two hours but beware the restaurant is inviting but with only one wait staff it took over 1... More

This museum is in an old house and contains the personal collection of a collector (who only died recently). It has some stunning 16th and 17th century paintings in it (Cranach and comtemporaries) as well as some more modern art. It is a wonderful collection and world class. We had not heard of it until we came to Toulouse and... More

We visited this rich art collection for the time in three years and had the same pleasure as the first time. The palace is worth the visit by itself and qppears to be just the most beautiful you can see in Toulouse and certainly one among the top town palaces if not one of the best from this period in... Good collection of paintings, particularly some impressionists. Impressive for a private collection. The building itself has an old world charm, with a cool restaurant in the courtyard. Worth a visit if you can squeeze it into your schedule, but not top priority, e.g., compared to Musee de Augustins which is practically next doors.

This is one of France's great art collections which I was lucky to view before the tourist rush. I went twice, in May and June 2016. During those months, it could be seen without the hoardes of tourists that is experienced at the Louvre and other better-known art galleries. It is a pleasure to view the presentation in jewel coloured... More

Maybe it was the wonderful sunshine and blue skies but when we hit the courtyard entrance, it was a wow-this-is-beautiful moment. No clear sign though to say 'entrance this way' as there are two ways to go.It's the stairs entrance you have to pick, which lead up to a pleasant tea room area where you can buy coffee and cake... The beautiful Hotel d´Assézat Renaissance building holds the fantastic Bemberg private collection of Art (paintings, ceramics, exotic objects, etc). It´is, by far,the best museum of Toulouse, don´t miss it.

Must admit, until recently visiting Toulouse for the first time I'd never even heard of the Fondation Bemberg. But it deserves to be much better-known. Relatively small, housed in an attractive old building, it contains a high proportion of masterpieces of European art. Some great names: Tintoretto, Veronese, Cranach, Monet, Picasso, Canaletto, Gauguin, Modigliani, and of course Toulouse-Lautrec. Also, for... More

Good way to spend the afternoon on a cold January day. A shame a few keys pieces were missing, on loan to other galleries.

A wonderful collection of fine arts in a beautiful Renaissance style mansion. The bound books and the porcelain are particularly spectacular as are some of paintings (Pissaro, Picasso etc) I spent 2 hours here.
