It's very impressive

If you are wondering around Toulouse then it's definitely worth a visit. It's huge and impressive on the outside and inside. Buildings like these always impress me

The Cathedral looks as if it isn't finished as there is a mixture of different architectural styles within the church. In 1073 I believe the Bishop of Toulouse commissioned the building of extensions to an earlier church from around the 800's and then there were further extensions in the 13th, 15th and 16th centuries with further work undertaken in the... Set in a nice part of Toulouse, this cathedral of many stages of construction is the burial place of Canal du Midi engineer and inventor Pierre Paul Riquet. You can see the plaque on a massive pillar right there soon after you enter. Some fine touches in this cathedral, but certainly a mixture of genres.

Historical cathedral which was restored over time withIn the limitation of space to expand. It was a peaceful place for worship. Must see.

Could not believe that an hour could go so quickly as a believer was amazed with this place but anyone would enjoy the sheer beauty of this place the sheer size and detail is staggering was amazed to see armed French soldiers guarding the gate before mass as seemed to be the case in all the church buildings in this... I don't know why people would call this beautiful. It is a really ugly monolith, built at different times, in a no way harmonious in design. The two different sections don't even line up in a normal way. There are seats facing huge pillars. I found it very jarring and disturbing. It's very interesting to visit for the history.

Not your typical big church/cathedral layout. Well worth donating and picking up the shortened history leaflet which explains the stop start construction of this vast edifice. Somewhat off-centre construction. Excellent and well worth a visit. Not far from the centre. Lovely "square" in front.

This cathedral was constructed from the 13th to the 17th centuries, and it mixes the northern and southern Gothic in an unusual way. The clock tower is very unusual; the nave is off-centre to the choir. Some of the interior furnishings are very nice. I was particularly struck by the chapel devoted to Joan of Arc. It contains tall tablets... More

Very beautiful and historic church, loved it !!! When we walked in the organ was playing, and we took lots of photos, lit candles and said prayers. Every painting had a special story, as we speak French, it was a pleasure to learn so much about this cathedral.
