There was one guide who was keen to be helpful but the exhibition begins with lots of specimens without any signage. Later there is signage if you can read it in the dark. In a city that attracts international tourists they could think about adding English and perhaps German signage too. Outside garden seemed a bit run down.

Our kids are 8 and 10 and they both had a great time. A favourite area was the living Earth area on earthquakes, volcanoes, and continental drift. They also enjoyed some of the games throughout. We easily spent over 1/2 here and we're not sorry we visited it.

This is a fantastic museum, and we really enjoyed it. We are a bilingual family, so being able to read French was a help. The exhibits are beautifully presented, excite interest and am generally rather wonderful. I'd give it the highest possible rating.

Some interesting exhibits, but ability to read french language would enable a visitor to get maximum benefit from the visit, as there are only a few english/german/spanish captions, mainly at the start of each exhibition. A great selection of stuffed animals showing the classification of species and diversity within types of animals. However, I have been to far better museums... More

I love that the museum shows things in time order and very complete. From earth, stones, volcanoes, earthquake, small lining cells to big animals. The exposition topic about giraffe is also very interesting.

OK, maybe I should have done more homework, but when I saw Toulouse had a natural history museum, I was there. New York and London had both been enthralling and I was looking forward to it. It quickly became apparent though, that this was geared for children. While it was well set up and informative with great exhibits, dissappointing when... More

What a fab place to go and visit. The museum was much larger than I thought it would be. Loved all the beetles and bugs there were to see. Well thought out layout, making the visit interesting and informative. I speak French and this helps as all the info is is French. Maybe a guide in English, don't know though... More

great museum but if you do not speak French, you will struggle to understand as all the labels commentaries and workshops are in French. Still it is a great place to visit.

A wonderful place for children to learn about natural history. I went today by myself as it is free on the first Sunday of every month, and I was out walking around enjoying Toulouse. I took a quick walk though, and my grown children would have loved this place when they were young or maybe even today. There were hoards... More

Very modern natural history museum. Easy to get to. Not the largest collection of exhibits on display but very well presented and easy to navigate. Plant collection slightly disappointing, mainly as many exhibits were closed.
