Spectacular experience at Rocher des Aigles

During av stay in Rocamadour it is a must also to visit Rocher des Aigles. Both to see the show and to watch the birds inside their cages or outside.

We are birds of prey enthusiasts and were appalled by the way these birds are grown and treated, like circus animals. In this day and age treatment of wild birds in this way is unacceptable and should be banned. Birds, like other animals, are not circus animals and should be treated properly. We were left speechless and disgusted. What a... More

To mix with the great and small birds of prey, from mighty condors to dainty little hawks, really is a fascinating experience. Add to that the owls and the parrots and it gets even better, but the icing on the cake are the flying displays given by all species, which are truely spectacular. There is a running commentary by the... More

This was not my first time to visit Rocamadour or Rocher des Aigles, but with new visitors, it is a must place to go to. There are so many different birds to see around the park, but the best part is the show, which they do a few times a day. It is all in French, but even if you... More

Rocher des Aigles breeds raptors and parrots; certain species of eagle, kawk, vulture, owl and Amazonian macaws. The more impressive species include the American bald eagle; the European eagle owl; the Great Grey owl; and the Andean condor. A falconry display includes the free flight of some of these large b.irds in a aerial ballet the sees them soar high... More

this was over an hour of watching beautiful birds of prey flying around in the valley below; stunning. It didn't even matter that we couldn't understand the French commentary. Do not make the mistake of going to Rocamadour afterwards - terrible place

I was a bit disturbed seeing large birds of prey tied down with only two feet of rope when I first arrived at this attraction, which is actually quite small. Birds of many varieties are in huts/cages that are quite small also but seeing the one hour show where these birds were let out to fly high in the sky... More

This centre claims to be a centre for bird of prey conservation - it is nothing more than a money making tourist attraction. As a bird of prey enthusiast & conservationist of 20 years experience I was looking forward to visiting this centre during a holiday to France but was appalled at my experience. To the untrained eye the displays... More

Good show, the falconers show you the birds close up and talk to you 1 on 1. Easy to get to well signed. Good facilities nearby.
